24+ NATIVE BLUE / IVY LEAVED MORNING GLORY SEEDS (Ipomeoa hederacea) PLUS planting instructions.
There's no hybridization here - these are as close to nature as you can get with beautiful blue flowers tinted lightly with lavendar and measuring about 1 - 1.5 across. These are annuals, but readily self-sow for new vines the following year! I have grown these for several years on my fences and they are not invasive at all.
The vines grow 8 to 12 feet with a profusion of blooms that are a beautiful blue with a lavendar tint and white throats. The blooms are about 1 - 1 1/2 across, but don't let the small size fool you - the profusion of blooms makes up for their small size! These are perfect for covering a fence, trellis, mail box or telephone pole! They will bloom all summer to first frost.
I have found they need very little care and yield LOTS AND LOTS of blooms. They grow best in sandy average soil and in full sun, but are also happy in partial shade. Easy for new gardeners and children.
