These get about 36 - 48 inches tall with bright red flowers and deep green foliage from summer to frost. The hummingbirds love these flowers, as do all the butterflies in my yard!
Cannas are just so easy to grow and with very little care they develop into real beauties. They grow in nearly any soil and multiply themselves in a blink of an eye. They do well in full sun or partial shade and even in containers! Wouldn't these look GREAT next to your pool or deck? They definitely add a tropical feel to any yard! They bloom and grow best if they get watered regularly.
These are hardy to zone 8 and higher. In zones 7 and lower, you should dig up, store over winter and replant after last frost in the spring - or keep as container plants all year long!
