Golden Thryallis, Gold Shower, Rain of Gold,Galphimia Bush/Flowering Shrub Seeds

Free Shipping. 24+ Seeds. I don't grow a lot of 'shrubs', per se, because mostly they take too much work trimming them for the pay off, but this one's a big exception to that. These are COVERED in gold blooms from early summer to frost and look justas good trimmed or left natural. Reaching about 5'-6' tall, these make great hedges or group plantings in zones 9-11 and can even be container plants in colder zones to add color to your sunny patio or pool deck with little effort.

I don't grow a lot of 'shrubs', per se, because mostly they take too much work trimming them for the pay off, but this one's a big exception to that. These are COVERED in gold blooms from early summer to frost and look just as good trimmed or left natural. The loose, open natural growth habit is ideal for informal plantings. Reaching about 5'-6' tall, these make great hedges or group plantings in zones 9-11 and can even be container plants in colder zones to add color to your sunny patio or pool deck with little effort.

On top of the lovely blooms, these can grow in very dry, hot conditions and still look great! Super easy to care for and the golden blooms are a joy all summer long! Great for xeriscaping!

Best grown in full sun but can tolerate some shade. Hardy zones 9-11, these can be grown as container plants in colder zones and brought in to a protected area during the winter.  If    you'd like to grow in a container, provide very good drainage and use a sandy potting mix water only when top 1" of soil is dry.

I planted mine from seed started in late summer, overwintered them in containers indoors and set out the following spring and got blooms that first summer. According to UF, these will bloom when 1 foot tall and 6 months old, so you should be able to get blooms the first year if planted in the spring but, please note, that the seeds need it VERY WARM for good germination - in the range of 80° - 90°F, so you may want to start them in the summer.

Plants are killed to the ground at about 25° F but quickly regrow in the spring (hardy to zone 9 and warmer).
