Neither a Rose nor Confederate, this perennial (Hardy to zone 7) Hibiscus is a native of China, but performs wonderfully in the the southern US and can even be grown as a container plant in northern states if brought in during the winter.

Confederate Rose has 'mutant' blooms in the fall, meaning the blooms change color as they age. Starting off white, they change to a light pink then dark pink as the day goes on. You can, at times, have all three colors on your bush at once which is really an awesome sight! These will grow to 10' and prefer full sun but will tolerate part shade. They grow in poor, well draining soil but will do best with regular watering.

These can produce blooms the first year from seed, but will have best blooms as the bushes get older/larger starting in the 2nd year.

*Shipping within the USA is free on all orders of $6.00 or larger*
