24+ DOUBLE PURPLE DEVIL'S TRUMPET (DATURA METEL) SEEDS PLUS planting instructions, including a color photo for seedling id.

I've even had some TRIPLE blooms this year from plants these seeds came from! Datura (Devils Trumpet) have fragrant, double/triple purple and white trumpet shaped blooms that face upward and the plant is more of a bush than a tree. If the flowers weren't enough, the plants also sport glossy, dark purple stems and reach 3 feet tall.

Datura is a perennial in zones 9 and warmer and usually lives about 4 or 5 years under good conditions. Grow as an annual in colder zones.

Datura’s produce several seed pods during the year and thrive in high heat, particularly in humid areas. Each plant can have several blooms open at any given time. They are very rapid growing plants in full sun or partial shade. Very attractive to butterflies, hummingbirds and sphinx moths.

Datura’s can be started in pots or directly in the garden after last frost they also make a wonderful container plant on patios or decks. They transplant easily while small, but are more difficult to move after established in the garden.

The plants/seeds/blooms are poisonous.
